Clay County Medical Center Encourages Residents to Establish Care

A new analysis from Kaiser Family Foundation found that nearly one in five Kansans do not have a personal physician. The findings highlight a growing challenge in primary care access nationwide, with Kansas ranking near the middle of all states for residents without a personal provider.

Having a personal physician is a vital step in maintaining long-term health and preventing serious illness. Establishing care helps ensure that medical needs are addressed early, medications are managed properly, and routine screenings are not overlooked.

At Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) and its rural health clinics across the region, Dr. Lohrmeyer Dr. Murphy, Dr. Worthen, and Dr. Wurtz are currently welcoming new patients to join their practice. Whether you’re due for an annual exam, managing chronic conditions, or ready to establish care, our team is here to help you take that next step.

“Our goal is to make high-quality healthcare accessible close to home,” said Austin Gillard, CEO of Clay County Medical Center. “Whether you’re due for an annual exam, managing a chronic condition, or simply looking to establish care, our team is here to help you build a trusted relationship with a medical provider.”
