Clay County Medical Center has earned the prestigious 5-Star designation in patient experience by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The five-star rating places CCMC at the top of 3,478 hospitals surveyed nationwide with only 266 receiving a five-star rating.

CMS' star rating scores hospitals on a one-to-five-star scale based on the 10 publicly reported measures in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, which assesses patient experiences. This star rating encourages hospitals to strive to continuously improve the patient experience and quality of care delivered to all patients.
