Clay County Medical Center will be opening a Convenient Care Clinic on Saturdays and Sundays starting on August 8, 2020. The hours of the Convenient Care Clinic will be Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. An appointment is required. Only eight (8) appointments per day will be allowed due to the COVID-19 screening process and the cleaning of each exam room. This is the same type of service we provided with Walk-In Clinic, it just now requires an appointment due to COVID-19.

Phone lines to schedule an appointment will open at 8:00am on Saturday and Sunday. Please call (785) 632-2144 to schedule an appointment. Once your appointment is scheduled, please enter through the CCMC Emergency Room entrance for your Convenient Care Clinic appointment.

The Convenient Care Clinic offers a convenient alternative to ER to benefit the people of Clay County and surrounding communities we serve. The Convenient Care Clinic provides services dedicated to the delivery of non-emergency care, and is for the treatment of patients with an injury or illness that requires immediate care, but is not serious enough to necessitate a visit to the ER. Minor injuries, minor cuts or burns, muscle sprains or strain, stomachache, nausea, headache, dizziness, and ear, throat or nose infections are typical reasons people utilize the Convenient Care Clinic.

Notice to Patients: Each insurance provider determines if it covers the Convenient Care Clinic or not. In most cases, insurance providers will cover those services, but patients may be expected to pay a co-payment or deductible. All patients will be asked to make a $30.00 payment at time of service. Please be advised that the Convenient Care Clinic is not a free standing urgent care clinic.
