Pelvic Health Therapy

We're thrilled to announce Alicia Crowl, DPT and April Fahey, DPT are now trained Pelvic Health Physical Therapists!

Two physical therapists at Clay County Medical Center are now classified as Pelvic Health Physical Therapists. Following about a day and a half of pre-course work, Alicia Crowl, DPT and April Fahey, DPT completed an intensive two day, pelvic function level one course. They are now equipped to offer specialized care for pelvic floor dysfunction.

Crowl explained the nearest locations to receive pelvic health therapy was in Manhattan, Junction City, or Abilene. Patients can now conveniently seek care for pelvic floor dysfunction at Clay County Medical Center.

“We are able to provide pelvic floor therapy for incontinence, pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse. We can also treat some pregnancy related issues such as diastasis recti,” explained Crowl.

Fahey elaborated on the significance of these expanded services, stating, "Previously, the communities we serve faced challenges in accessing specialized pelvic health care. Now, with our training, we are excited to offer pelvic health therapy for the patients we serve here at Clay County Medical Center."
