Senior Life Solutions Program Selected As LEAD Training Site

Clay County Medical Center’s Senior Life Solutions program was selected to be one of ten LEAD training sites by Psychiatric Medical Care, which has more than 250 hospital and health system partnerships across the country.

Senior Life Solutions is a hospital-based program designed to support the mental health of older adults (typically 65 and older) who experience depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. LEAD sites train new staff with a focus on Leadership, Excellence, Accountability, and Development. To qualify as a LEAD site a program must demonstrate a continued commitment to Psychiatric Medical Care’s values: care, compliance, and community.

“This team’s performance has been outstanding, especially in terms of the care they provide to patients,” said Rhonda McGraw, regional director. “New team members assigned to train at Clay County Medical Center will learn a lot from this stellar program.”

Clay County Medical Center’s Senior Life Solutions team is led by Beth Larson, RN, program director. Other staff members include Matt Myers, LSCSW, LMAC, therapist, Angie Stevens, office patient coordinator, and medical director and board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Paul McGinnis.

Anyone can make a referral to the program, including family members, healthcare providers or individuals in need of mental health support.
