On June 21, 2021, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) adopted its COVID-19 Healthcare Emergency Temporary Standard. Employers providing healthcare services will be required to comply with new COVID-19 specific standards. In short, Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) is required to continue our mask mandate in CCMC, Meadowlark Hospice, and our Clay Center, Clyde, Linn, and Riley Family Physicians locations.
There will be additional signage to help remind patients and visitors to wear masks and socially distance. Masks will be available at all entrances. Screeners will continue to monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 upon entering our facilities. We ask that you call before coming into any of our facilities if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. These symptoms include: fever, headache, body aches, fatigue, respiratory symptoms, or change in smell or taste.
OSHA states they will update the Healthcare Emergency Temporary Standard, if necessary, to align with CDC guidelines and any changes in the pandemic. CCMC strives to meet your healthcare needs in a safe, caring environment. We appreciate your cooperation, as we follow the requirements established by OSHA and CMS.
