Allison Haynes, MD has joined the medical staff at Clay County Medical Center. Dr. Haynes will start seeing patients at Clay Center Family Physicians and our new Riley Family Physicians clinic in September. Dr. Haynes is from Clay Center and is the daughter of Dr. Tim Penner and Lori Penner.
Dr. Haynes is a Board-Certified Family Practice Physician who specializes in family medicine, obstetrics, and pediatrics. Dr. Haynes completed her residency at Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency in Salina, KS. She received her medical degree from The University of Kansas School of Medicine, and received her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University.
Dr. Haynes is married to Russell, who she met during medical school. She and Russell have a young son named Oscar, and two dogs Cici and Winston. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, art projects, reading, and baking.
Dr. Haynes is looking forward to moving back to her hometown. “This is where I grew up and as my husband and I were looking for the right place to call home and raise a family, Clay Center seemed to be the best fit. It's a great small town with a strong tight-knit community. I have been able to watch this hospital grow and thrive in a time that has made it very difficult for small hospitals to grow and thrive. I am very excited to get to join an awesome group of health care workers committed to serving a community that means so much to me.”
Dr. Haynes became interested in becoming a physician during high school. “I enjoyed science and wanted to pursue a career in a scientific field. I watched my dad serve this community as a physician as I grew up and eventually decided that a similar path was right for me.”
