Clay Center, KS – Allie Lohrmeyer, MD has joined the medical staff at Clay County Medical Center (CCMC). Dr. Lohrmeyer will begin seeing patients at Clay Center Family Physicians Clinic (CCFP) in Clay Center KS on August 15, 2016. CCFP is owned and operated by CCMC.
To celebrate this event, CCMC will be hosting a Meet & Greet on July 23, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the St. Peter & Paul Parish Center, located at 730 Court Street in Clay Center. Lohrmeyer grew up in Oberlin, KS. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Kansas State University and her doctorate from the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine. She completed her Residency Program at Smoky Hill Family Medicine in Salina this June. Lohrmeyer has a passion for obstetrics and women’s health.
Clay County Medical Center CEO, Austin Gillard said, “We are extremely pleased to welcome Dr. Lohrmeyer to our hospital and our community. We are pleased she has chosen to begin her medical practice with us in Clay Center. She is board certified in family practice and is looking forward to serving people of all ages in this community.”
Lohrmeyer met her husband Jake, who is originally from Hays, KS at a summer camp in Alma, Nebraska. He also graduated from Kansas State University and is employed by RailCrew Xpress. Allie and Jake have been married seven years. They have one daughter, Ada, age 1 and are expecting their second child in September. The couple enjoys camping, kayaking, live music and K-State sports. The couple looked at several places before finally deciding on Clay Center. They were impressed with the attractiveness and friendliness of the community.
“The plans for expansion and renovation at the hospital make this an exciting time to come on board. I am looking forward to starting rural family medicine in Clay Center,” said Dr. Lohrmeyer.
