The art exhibit of country, wildlife, and southwest scenes by Sharon Reed will be on display until July 29, 2016. Sharon started painting when she was a senior in high school and continued until about ten years ago.
Sharon Ferguson was born on January 17, 1938 at the Clay Center Hospital. She married Gary Reed on January 18, 1957 and they have four children. Sharon worked in the Dietary Department at the Clay Center Hospital for 16 years.
The barn wood frames with the paintings are made by her husband, Gary.
Sharon continues to paint objects such as bird houses. She entered one in “Art is Ageless” where she received First Place.
The Art is Ageless® program encourages Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America residents and other area seniors to express their creativity through an annual art competition and exhibit, musical and dramatic events, educational opportunities and current events discussions.
