
Each Year Clay County Medical Center provides a variety of educational opportunities to the community.
Classes offered with no fees are: Breastfeeding, Childbirth Education, Crisis Center Health Care Sexual Assault, and Domestic Violence of Children Risks and Protective Factors.
Other classes offered with fees are: The Heartsaver CPR, The Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED, and The Heartsaver First Aid Course.

Clay

care in North Central Kansas by providing affordable, quality,
and convenient educational opportunities for healthcare professionals.
Enrollment/Registration
Pre-registration is Required to:
- Ensure a place in the course
- Ensure receipt of course materials
- Guarantee receipt of CE certificate day or course
- Register (Sign-in) quicker and easier day of class
- Ensure notification if course is canceled or location has changed
Some courses are limited to a specific number of participants. Registrations are not accepted by phone. Registration forms and fees must reach the Education Department in adequate time to ensure proper time for you to receive and review study materials and complete assignments. Please send separate checks and registration form for each class and textbook.
- A certificate of attendance will be issued if a program has been attended in its entirety.
- Under special circumstances partial credit may be given with prior arrangements made with Education Department.
- To obtain full contact hour credits available, the participants can be no more than 10 minutes late and must stay for the full program.
- Duplicate continuing education certificates are available for an additional cost of $5.00 each.
Children are not permitted in the classroom setting.
Employees
Employee fees are 50%
of registration fee on all classes.
Verification Courses are available to CCMC employees working in departments
which require them. An education payroll deduction form must be signed
at enrollment which guarantees that the employee will attend class. If
the employee does not cancel prior to class or is a no-show the payroll
deduction form will be sent to payroll. Otherwise the deduction form will
be returned to the employee upon completion of the course.
Cancellation Policy
Clay County Medical Center reserves the right to cancel offerings due to insufficient enrollment and/or instructor illness or emergency. Should a cancellation occur, you will be notified by phone and receive a full refund.
Registrants who do not cancel their registration 72 hours prior to class or fail to attend forfeits their fee.
Web-Based Continuing
Education
Web-based continuing education credits from RnCeus and CareLearning are available to employees of Clay County Medical center at no cost.
To begin taking an interactive on-line class, contact the education department to obtain a user id and password.
