Surgery RN – PRN position for a RN who will take call, be available for call back and occasionally work a shift during the week if needed. Expectations for this position are 3 shifts per month with 2 of them being weekend shifts of on-call with possible call-back.
Medical Records/ Coding Clerk - Full time position available for candidate with attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Previous coding skills are not required.
Nurse - Full-time position for a RN or LPN working mostly Monday – Friday in a clinic setting. Must be organized and have great people skills.
Speech Pathologist – Part-time positon in the Speech Therapy department assisting with patient care both in-patient and out-patient. Need to be licensed to work in the state of Kansas, previous experience preferred.
Housekeeper/Laundry Worker – PRN positions available. Flexible hours will vary depending on need due to census and staffing needs due to PTO and sick leave usage of full-time staff. Must be capable of working independently and with others, good people skills, pay attention to detail, follow instructions, and meet physical requirements.
Admissions Clerk - Regular Relief (less than 20 hrs./wk.) position available working mostly evenings and a rotation of weekends. Basic office skills, good computer skills, good communication and people skills, detail orientated with extreme accuracy is just a few traits required. Need to be organized and be able to multitask. Previous hospital experience is preferred but not required.
Prior Authorization Representative - Full-time position working with insurance companies and medical care providers to obtain prior authorization for out-patient services such as CT and MRI. This position will also assist insurance billers as needed. Must be able to work independently and with others. Need good communication and people skills Medical terminology knowledge and general office and computer skills are necessary. Previous billing and/or insurance experience helpful.
HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT/PATIENT ACCOUNTS
Coder/Insurance Assistant – This is a blended position mostly working full-time doing coding in a hospital HIM department but may cross over and serve as a backup to the Patient Accounts department filling in as a Prior Authorization Clerk or Biller if needed. A RHIT or RHIA degree is preferred. Must be able to work independently, know medical record codes, know how to read and understand a medical record chart, have good communication and people skills, general office and computer skills are necessary.
Store Room Clerk – PRN position to assist mostly as a backup to cover during times of employee illness or planned PTO. Duties include but are not limited to unloading freight, stocking shelves, pulling products for orders, making deliveries to departments, helping with inventory, etc.
Cook/Dietary Aide - Full-time position available. This is a combination position between a cook and a dietary aide. The cook duties include knowing or the ability to learn special diets, food safety and paying close attention to detail. The dietary aide is responsible for various duties associated with a dietary department including dishes, customer service, assisting the cooks, running a computerized cash register, counting change, cleaning, putting up freight, etc. Previous food service experience preferred. This position includes a rotation of weekend and weekend coverage.
RESPIRATORY THERAPY SERVICES
Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist - PRN position available. Prefer previous hospital experience but not mandatory. Will need to be able to assist with a rotation of on-call, some weekend and holiday coverage. Will need to be able to work independently and with others, have good people skills, basic office and computer skills along with above average skills as a respiratory therapist.
Specialty Clinic (Outpatient Clinic Nurse) - Full-time position working Monday- Friday (36-40hrs/wk) covering various clinics, including but not limited to: Surgery, ENT, Urology, Neurology, Podiatry and Orthopedics. Candidate would also be asked to float to Surgical Department and Med/Surg Floor occasionally when not in clinic. Previous experience in clinic setting strongly preferred. Previous experience in surgical setting also preferred. Hours will vary from 36-40 based on clinic need. Candidate should be highly motivated and organized with good time management skills to accommodate the demands of the various clinics. Candidate must be willing to expand knowledge base, learning how to assist in various clinic procedures performed by Specialist.
Nursing Supervisor, Dayshift working 3 (three) 12 hour shifts/week - Provides oversight for nursing departments, ER, OB, Med/Surg and Outpatient Treatment. Addresses staffing during their shift as well as ensuring adequate staffing for oncoming shift/s, Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities as directed by DON. Encourages the use of AIDET and the importance of patient and family satisfaction to the staff. Handles occurrences and any other issues that may arise during the shift, ensuring appropriate documentation and communication. Collaborates with patients, family members and physicians to ensure needs are met and problems are resolved. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs, including discipline if needed, performs yearly skills checkoffs with staff as well as evaluations. Ensures that department goals are met. Reports to Director of Nursing. Requires certification as a registered nurse (RN), as well as being checked off in the areas of OB, ER and OPTX, as they will be asked/required to work the floor approx. one shift a week. Marketing and Communications Director - Part-time position responsible for communicating the mission and scope of services of CCMC to its internal and external publics in order to build the public image of the system and ensure continued support by Clay County and surrounding areas. Plan, produce, print and distribute communications for the various customers of CCMC including patients, departments, physicians, media, vendors, and others. This position also manages Community Benefit programs and requirements for completing the Community Needs Health Assessment. Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in journalism, communications or related field. Three to five years of experience in journalism, communications, PR, marketing in a major corporation or not-for-profit association or sales experience.
