Welcome New Chairman Mike Floersch and Honor Chuck Stuart
Jim Braden welcomed Mike Floersch as the second chairman of CCH Foundation.
Following in Stuart's footsteps will be "no easy task," Floersch said.
Chuck Stuart, one of the original founding members of the Hospital Foundation, was elected as the the first chairman at the organizational meeting on September 30, 1998. During Stuart's chairmanship, the foundation raised $383,000 toward the construction of the Family Physicians Clinic, $95,000 for the construction of the Outpatient Clinic and $200,000 in tax credits toward the construction of the Wellness Center. The foundation also raised its initial seed money through 75 charter memberships.

In appreciation of his years of leadership and dedication to strengthening health care, Jim Braden presented Stuart a plaque on behalf of the foundation.

"Chuck Stuart is a true citizen, and if it hadn't been for his leadership, the Physicians Clinic, the Outpatient Clinic and the Wellness Center wouldn't have happened," Braden said.

Stuart declined to take sole credit for the foundation's accomplishments.

"We had good people. They are what made all of this possible. I was just the cheerleader," Stuart said. Stuart also thanked the many people who have helped strengthen local health care over the years and issued a special thank you to his wife, Marion, for her support.

Mike and Chuck

"Mike Floersch is a community-minded individual who is always willing to help out. Under his leadership and with the help of a community that is there when needed, great things will continue to happen," Stuart said.

Floersch begins his chairmanship along with three new Hospital Foundation Board members: Dustin Mullin, Clyde Wollenberg and Gary Griffiths.
